I am trying to find few people from past for a long time..I got one today (not in person)  and very very happy for the person...
Someday I will tell you who are they :)

By the way this was a great week for me ..There is a new addition to my family.. I have became a aunt again..My Sister is blessed with a baby boy on Friday.

People I like to be as..

Let me share a small incident of my college days.
We were four friends Mona, Malvika, Debashri & me in the same hostel "MT Hall". One summer evening, we four were having tea and giving "adda" in the garden area discussing philosophies of life. what we want to be in next birth? ..what we were in our previous birth?..
Someone wanted to be a bird ,  scientist, explorer .Suddenly Debashri said " I want to be Shahrukh Khan in next birth"..We all looked at her and astonished by what we heard. she was so sure that she wanted to be Shahrukh Khan.

So my question of the day is ..who are the people you want to be like or rather I say I want to be like..
c'mon! do this take a paper and start listing now..
I am sharing my list :-
  1. DEV ANAND
  2. KHUSHWANT SINGH
  3. NAPOLEAN BONAPART
  4. STEVEN EWRIN
Right now I can think of these guys..
Reasoning ...........

Dev aNANAD
Dev Anand : I really feel something charismatic about his personality , so stylist..so much of love for his craft, his art. I have seen couple of his interviews  a perfect gentlemen. Once he said that he came to Mumbai with just Rs 20..till he has Rs 20 with him , he has loose nothing. He made movies because he loved doing that.He was always living in his own world.. I like people who lives in their own world without bothering what world thinks or say..

Khushwant Singh : I wanted so much that he should have hit a century before leaving us. Only regret I have is that I could not write a mail to him.. I love his attitude toward life..so fearless, so well articulated his thoughts and opinions.  I read somewhere it is written in his door  " Please do not ring the bell unless you are expected."  He made me to believe that for writing stories you don't need a great command on a language but you need to hit the right chord with right emotion.

Napolean Bonapart
I don't know why ..may be this picture of Napolean Bonaparte, he is my childhood hero. First time I saw this picture was in my cousin's room. One  more similarity I have with Napolean..Any guess?  Napolean feared cats just like do I.

Steven Erwin: the crocodile hunter..  Actually initially he was forced to us by dad , being a veterinary Doctor he used to make us see lot of Animal planets and Discovery channels when we were kids. slowly we started loving the crocodile hunter..see all his shows..so fascinated by Australia Zoo..Still it is the destination I want to visit before i die. Still some where  I want to be a wild life photographer and want to shoot documentary on wild life..Steven made me understand that all snakes are not bad..and not necessarily be killed when we see them. I save snake :)

------------to be continued some other day....

How far you can go for a promise you made to someone

How far you will go to keep your promise?

You remember the episode of Mahabharata when lord Krishna took up weapon to kill "Bhishma", who was blessed with wish-long life and had promised his father King Shantanu to serve the ruling king of Hastinapur. By doing so lord breaks his own promise that will not fight or lift any weapon in the Mahabharata war. Many people have different interpretation of this story , I would like to share my personal views on it.

Lord Krishna And Bhishma Pitamah (click to view)

According to me this teaches a very important lesson of life.." How far you can go for a promise which is not at all worth of keeping"

Bhishma took oath to serve any ruling king of Hastinapur irrespective of the personality or the virtue of king, which it self is very very wrong at first place. Bhishma was most powerful warrior who fought with his own guru Parasurama and defeated him. I strongly believe that with great power comes great responsibility, and your responsibilities are more toward people who are not so powerful and your society and mankind.

I see Bhishma as a big reason for the entire Mahabharata war. WHY?

let us take close look:--

  1. Had to abduct princesses Amba, Ambika, Ambalika for his step - brother an incompetent young king Vichitravirya, against Amba's wish and later by not honoring her

2. Forced the intelligent and beautiful princess of Gandhar, princesses Gandhari, to marry blind king Dhritarashtra making her brother Sakuni angry ....very very angry (who in turn took revenge by finishing the entire Kuru Clan)

  • Did not took up his weapon or use his power to stop Duryodhana and his brothers from disrobing Draupati, his great-grand daughter-in-law in public when she was pleading

  • Finally fighting for evil Duryodhana.

It was his promise which lead to great destruction.

It is not like that I didn't like Bhishma's Character but I really fail to understand why didn't he took a stand anytime.

So why did Krishna broke his promise and took weapon to kill Bhishma even though it was pre-decided that only "Shikhandi" along with Arjuna will kill Bhishma.

Lord wanted to Bhishma to understand how he was terribly wrong and as the head of the Kuru clan , he should have done what was right and not blindly stick to a promise which was doing all wrong things.
In my opinion Krishna made a very very strong point that "No promise in the world is big enough to stop you from doing which is veracious". At times even lord breaks his own promise to make things right.

Thats my take.

To Baba

This is one of my unpublished blog written away back in Sept 2012...

Sept 2012

Now that I completed reading the kite Runner, I feel like writing my feelings.

I never liked or loved a book so much before.
Now let me sit down and try to analyze whats so touching about it?

I loved Aamir's Baba's character , may be I can relate the man to my own father. How people use to love him. How is use to help others, how he used to stand up against things he thought was wrong without caring for his life.
The way Aamir's Baba stood up against the Russian soldiers for the Afghan lady when they were fleeing from Kabul to pakistan. Even his religious sentiment's were same as of my father.

My Baba never went to any temple in his life time. I remember when we were kids, entire family use to go for Durga puja celebrations in different pandals but Baba never did any puja...

During Vishwakarma puja he use to clean his schooter and our car and even ask Gopal Uncle (Baba's office driver) to clean his old Mahindra jeep. He use to give donation for the puja celebration but never ever he did any puja..

It was only after my Grandparents death, I saw him putting a diya and agarbathi every morning and evening. In the evening he will take bath lit a diya and agarbathi in front of their(my grandparents) photograph and then only he will have his whishky.
I never liked his drinking , I failed to understand why he liked his drinks so much....may be he was addicted to it..
Sometimes you get habits from the society where you are born..Like for us Mishing “Every little things starts from apong and every big thing ends at apong”..

I miss him very much. Every time, I read the story Baba's character reminds me of my baba.
Like Aamir I have my own secret, by the end of the story Rahim Khan help him him to come out of guilt , How I will come out my guilt?

thank you

Thank you. Yes its you.. Thank you for reading my blogs. And I m very very sorry for being so ungrateful with my blog and not appreciating it...
But why? What happen suddenly?.I got enlightened.  It is a very nice feeling which cannot be expressed in words when a complete stranger stops by your blog, read it and like it... And if someone leaves a comment its icing on the cake. LAST week I went home and took a break from my not so happening routine life...believe me its always best to take a break and then bounce back with full energy. I realize the key to happiness is in my own hands.    While coming back I watched a movie called Julia and Julie... I was feeling as if its my own story..exception I don't love cooking that much . OK I will not tell you the story watch for yourself.

This movie took me to my past... How eagerly I would each day check my blog stats to know who all are reading, from where in the world, people liking it or not... Its little crazy but it gave great joy...😊.  Somehow I stopped. But I tell you its great great feeling to interact with you all. I would like to mention about one stranger..who really really motivate me...and its you Gautam.. Thanks a lot. I will keep blogging.. Because this is my priced possession.

Loving Myself...

No , This blog is not for you, It is for me, myself.
This blog is to boost my struggling self esteem.
It is an honest assessment to find out where my life is heading ?
Let me do this by introducing myself all over again. Who am I?
Ranjeeta Pegu official and "lulu" for family and friends.. I don't know what to say next as my Intro..
I work as a software professional in a big MNC....Is this who am I?
I don't agree to that but than what else ?
Past couple of days I am not happy but I don't know why I am not happy, I have every reason to be happy .. my awesome husband and beautiful family.
My jobs give me good money but I don't like it.
Each day I am feeling low. Each day it is hitting my self confidence level.
I know I can do much better but I am not doing it. So is this the reason for my unhappiness.. Or to put it in a different way "Should it be reason for my Unhappiness"....

I know I know all of you will say "No it should not be". Some will say "I should leave the job and look for other job"..Some will say "Do whatever you like to do" but what is that I like to do is a BIG question???

And Most hilarious thing is that "I DON"T KNOW what to do "
Did I hit the mid-life crisis so Early..........
BUT I promise the situation will not be like this for long............
I will find the way that will make me happy...
As someone said correctly " Happiness is found all along the Way Not at the end of the Road"

Do You see the Ant..its my Inspiration///

Unique Temple of Sri Rama.."Kodandarama Temple"

Hi Friends!

Happy New Year to you ..I hope still not very late to say that..
So how was your new year? Good, Better than previous or Best till date...

My New Year begins with a short trip to Chikkamagulur. I am going to take you to a very beautiful and ancient Rama Temple in Chikkamagalur. This Temple is very different from all the Rama Temple I have seen till date. Here is why it is different from other Rama temple
1. Sri Rama without Hanuman
2. Sita on the right side and Lakshmana on the left side.

Sri Rama without Hanuman, I know it is strange but to according to the legend Sri Rama came with Sita to this place just after their marriage and till that time Hanuman is not in the picture :)

Usually if we see any image of Sri Rama, Sita and Lakshmana , always Lakshmana  is on the right side and Sita on the left side.

If the folklore is to be believed .. God Parshuram also Know as Bharagva could not attend Sri Rama's wedding with Sita. So when Sri Rama along with Sita came to meet the warrior saint here, he requested Sri Rama to show his marriage scene (obviously facebook, watsapp were not available that time). So Sita stands to Sri Rama's right side and Lakshmana to his left, as per the tradition in Hindu marriage ceremonies.
And if you have read Ramayana or seen it on TV, you will know the Hanuman comes into Sri Rama's Life only after Sita was abducted by King of Lanka Ravaana..

In this temple Sri Rama is called as Kodandarama as Sri Rama and Lakshmana his brother are depicted holding arrows in hands.

It is a mesmerizing experience in this place. I swear the idols here is amazing and class apart.
I read this in wiki about the idols "The idols are best described by the poet Sri. Da. Ra. Bendre: "All the three idols appear to be walking towards the viewer looking at the placement of their feet. The sculptor has carved intricately the crown, jewellery and the positions of the bodies. Sita’s posture, eyes looking down, her jewelery are sculpted really well."
--.. I know you will agree me.. I completely agree the poet.
So Guys ..take out sometime and visit this place...Kodandarama Temple of chikamagalur
