Loving Myself...

No , This blog is not for you, It is for me, myself.
This blog is to boost my struggling self esteem.
It is an honest assessment to find out where my life is heading ?
Let me do this by introducing myself all over again. Who am I?
Ranjeeta Pegu official and "lulu" for family and friends.. I don't know what to say next as my Intro..
I work as a software professional in a big MNC....Is this who am I?
I don't agree to that but than what else ?
Past couple of days I am not happy but I don't know why I am not happy, I have every reason to be happy .. my awesome husband and beautiful family.
My jobs give me good money but I don't like it.
Each day I am feeling low. Each day it is hitting my self confidence level.
I know I can do much better but I am not doing it. So is this the reason for my unhappiness.. Or to put it in a different way "Should it be reason for my Unhappiness"....

I know I know all of you will say "No it should not be". Some will say "I should leave the job and look for other job"..Some will say "Do whatever you like to do" but what is that I like to do is a BIG question???

And Most hilarious thing is that "I DON"T KNOW what to do "
Did I hit the mid-life crisis so Early..........
BUT I promise the situation will not be like this for long............
I will find the way that will make me happy...
As someone said correctly " Happiness is found all along the Way Not at the end of the Road"

Do You see the Ant..its my Inspiration///

Unique Temple of Sri Rama.."Kodandarama Temple"

Hi Friends!

Happy New Year to you ..I hope still not very late to say that..
So how was your new year? Good, Better than previous or Best till date...

My New Year begins with a short trip to Chikkamagulur. I am going to take you to a very beautiful and ancient Rama Temple in Chikkamagalur. This Temple is very different from all the Rama Temple I have seen till date. Here is why it is different from other Rama temple
1. Sri Rama without Hanuman
2. Sita on the right side and Lakshmana on the left side.

Sri Rama without Hanuman, I know it is strange but to according to the legend Sri Rama came with Sita to this place just after their marriage and till that time Hanuman is not in the picture :)

Usually if we see any image of Sri Rama, Sita and Lakshmana , always Lakshmana  is on the right side and Sita on the left side.

If the folklore is to be believed .. God Parshuram also Know as Bharagva could not attend Sri Rama's wedding with Sita. So when Sri Rama along with Sita came to meet the warrior saint here, he requested Sri Rama to show his marriage scene (obviously facebook, watsapp were not available that time). So Sita stands to Sri Rama's right side and Lakshmana to his left, as per the tradition in Hindu marriage ceremonies.
And if you have read Ramayana or seen it on TV, you will know the Hanuman comes into Sri Rama's Life only after Sita was abducted by King of Lanka Ravaana..

In this temple Sri Rama is called as Kodandarama as Sri Rama and Lakshmana his brother are depicted holding arrows in hands.

It is a mesmerizing experience in this place. I swear the idols here is amazing and class apart.
I read this in wiki about the idols "The idols are best described by the poet Sri. Da. Ra. Bendre: "All the three idols appear to be walking towards the viewer looking at the placement of their feet. The sculptor has carved intricately the crown, jewellery and the positions of the bodies. Sita’s posture, eyes looking down, her jewelery are sculpted really well."
--.. I know you will agree me.. I completely agree the poet.
So Guys ..take out sometime and visit this place...Kodandarama Temple of chikamagalur

Singapore I C..Changi War Museum

Hi  Guys,

How are you all doing. Its really really long time that I returning to my space my world which I will never destroy.Well do you Guys Know Why I named it like that ? .hmm...some other day.

So that I am holidaying in Singapore I thought I will jot down Singapore I see and I feel.
Today I went to the Changi war Museum.
For some of you who feel museums are boring place to go, first advice take out some time and go alone. you will like it. Advice two if you don't like it keep going till you like. Singapore has a very well connected public transportation system.
I got into a Double-Decker public Bus (SBS No.2), from my Hotel . Getting into a bus here is little different than in India. I saw a few co-passenger putting money and getting e-tickets, others using E-cards near the driver seat . I just went in. Once the bus started I asked the driver "how much I need to pay?" He replied "put S$1.30 into the ticketing machine". Thank God I had coins.

Well I got the ticket and I asked my one and only co-passenger in the lower Decker to tell me where to get down, the old man did help me.While getting down I got an unexpected compliment from the bus driver "you are very cute!" . Flattered..I thanked him in response.

Photography in the museum is a BIG NO, but you can take pics of the chapel replica and outside.

"Hi"..I was greeted by a familiar face in the museum entrance. She was an Indian who didn't believe that I am also an Indian.I took the audio guide package (S$8 dollars).Entry to the museum is FREE

This Museum has 25 sections and shaped as U and the chapel is inside this U. To me it look like some Naga (tribe from North East India) Hut. I really felt I have seen this type of chapel somewhere else before but can't recollect.

Hey Guys..I am not going to give details of the museum ..that you guys must feel yourself. Remember I am just jotting my experience.
In memory of millions who suffered in WWII

1. As an Indian was interested to learn that all the major Indian troops may it be the Gurkas rifles , Rajputa , Jat regiment, Punjab, Royal Garwal , Hyderabad, Mysore regiment , Baluch , Indian Medical Services all participate in the battle for Singapore. Even my Grand Father (Mom's Dad) went to Burma as an allied force to fight the Japanese. He flung the matriculation exams and run away from home to join British Raj Army (his story some other day)

2. Another thing that interested me was the war -map (WWII) of South-East Asia which include India as well. Bangladesh was a part of India but I see North-East of India together with Burma and Tibet not as a part of India. No comments just an observation.Loads of Indian POW were used as labourer in the Thailand-Burma Railway construction. Malaria and Beri Beri were as bigger enemy as the Japanese were.

3. Human Mind is Genius. Imagine the level of Intelligentsia the POW used broom to get the radio signal from BBC Calcutta without letting the Japanese know about it. Receiver would scribble the news and pass it to fellow inmates. In most Inhuman condition the in-mates started teaching thermodynamics , Mathematics and Medicines to fellow in-mates. They started what is know as Changi University. By the time Japanese surrender 400 different peoples (Chinese, Indian, Malay, Australian) learn to read and write

4. Secret messages to the loved one in a Quilt

5. Mural arts by a POW with chronic dysentery. The mural of nativity shows birth of Jesus and people from different racial origin as the kind men who blessed Jesus.Even the "OX" in the mural is of Asian origin which is makes it so unique. Its a strong Signal of togetherness to build a strong nation as Singapore is today.

6. Musical band and dramatics by POW

7. Salute to thousands of women who suffered.I get goosebumps when I heard a lady POW who was treated a comfort women by Japanese.

8. Imagine 9 feet by 12 feet prison cell shared by in-mates, with just one small concrete slab in center as bed and small Chinese style lavatory within.

9. Last but not the least.. I really like the idea of  "BANANA MONEY". This is a lesson for all of us who running after money leaving behind all the morals and humanity.
Here is the story behind the Banana Money..when Japanese came and invade Singapore & Malay from the Brits. they were in shortage of money, food and resources. So the Japanese issued its own dollars forced it on to the Singaporeans and other Asian nation under its captivity. Its named as such because of the motifs of banana trees on 10 dollar banknote. But once the Japanese surrender the dollar was nothing more than waste paper..
So guys Stop running after Banana Money ..

Allah will take care of me...

I was going through the meaning of "Allah" in the wiki ...well it means God .
And thank God! God does not have any religion :)

Oh I am not going to give any lecture on communal harmony or spirituality as it’s not my cup of tea.
Today I am going to narrate a childhood incident of mine which remind me of my very old friend Anjuma (Lutfira Begum).
I don't remember exactly how old I was the, may be in class IV or V.
I had this fear in mind what will happen after death. I will never able to see my loved ones and my friends. I will miss all the new things which will come in future; sometimes I would think I am immortal like many others.

We had a chapter in English about the great pyramids of Egypt, no offence but it made my life more miserable. For many days I could not sleep at night or play with my friends. I didn't wanted to discuss mortality issues with my parents or sisters.

So I decided to find myself what are the different possibilities after death.

I ask my friends about what they think about the matter. Most of them were like " I don't Know Types” .

But this friend of mine Anjuma gave a very shocking reply and very satisfactory reply.

She told me "I will be very happy when I will die, because ALLAH will take care of me and I don't have to worry about myself and other things"  with most amazing smile.

Believe me her lines console me very much and after that I didn't had any sleepless night for many years..

This was one of the incident that made me realization of God

A woman in this country thinks any strange Male can be a potential rapist

Yesterday night me and my husband were coming Chennai.
It was around 10-10.30 pm, we enter KR Puram in Bangalore, very few shops were open, I wanted to go to a loo , so I asked the driver to stop near some Mall, Coffee shop or some decent place with rest rooms.

After sometime the driver stopped near Dominos Pizza.
It was about to close but they allowed me to use the rest room. My husband went to a near by shop to get water bottle. When I came out of Domino, strange feeling running on my mind.
Many a times , I am out at night time but never felt so very unsafe that too in a city center.
There was strange fear in my mind. I scanned the road but I could hardly see any female, fast moving cars and buses, but it was a group of man standing together outside Dominos that scared me the most.

No they were not making any lewd comment nor  looking at me. They look from decent families too but there was a fear that they could be potential rapist or eve teasers.

This is what  a woman , a girl in this country thinks about an stranger Male ...POTENTIAL RAPIST

JUST WATCH YOUR ACTION

Sometimes back I watched the movie ‘The Balck Friday’, need not to say it is very well-tailored. I think it is Anurag Kshyap’s first movie too.
Well I am not going to discuss the movie here. But if you guys have seen the movie its start with a very very Strong sentence “An Eye for an Eye will leave the world blind”.Very strong lines indeed.

People are becoming intolerant day by day. Even some so-called Gandhian have left his principle behind. Recently Mr Arvind Kejriwal's action of reconnecting the power line, I personally condemn  his action.
It may be people friendly but do we see at what cost?  Tomorrow I say Government is doing nothing for North Easterner , I want separate country or else I will attack all Government institutions. Or a Kashmiri shouting for an independent country or else fight with India , Are this acts justifiable ?

So where are we going,am I saying do not protest or fight against an atrocity ?
No, but first respect the fact that we are leaving in democratic setup and we have to believe in this setup.
Fight for the cause but in a proper democratic way, Keeping in mind the basic  fundamental of democracy –Majority wins . If we will all start  an eye for an eye soon we will became next  Afghanistan or Pakistan.

By the way what Trigger me to write this blog is not Mr Arvind Kejriwal but My Cook Mr. Khogen Das.He told me a very beautiful story from Ramayan

It is believed that Sri Rama cursed the monkey clan, that they will never have a house of their own.
But why did Sri Rama cursed the monkeys , who help him so much to win against the mighty Demon King Ravana. The story goes like this when Hanuman came from Lanka and told Sri Rama that he had burned the entire Lanka when Ravana tried to imprisoned him and set fire to his tail. All the monkeys present there were very happy with this victory of Hanuman.

But Sri Rama though he was concerned about Hanuman’s well being condemn the act saying this heinous act of yours has cause unnecessary pain and trauma to many innocent  men ,women ,children and aged people of Lanka without any fault of their own , to make Hanuman and others present there to realize the same trauma and pain the Lord cursed entire monkey clan that they will never have house of their Own.”
The moral of the story whatever be the cause..JUST  WATCH  YOUR ACTION
